Chief Minister Narendra Modi shall visit three scarcity-hit districts on Friday to take stock of the situation in wake of inadequate rainfall. His schedule covers two districts of north Gujarat and Kutch.
Modi will reach Palanpur town of Banaskantha district at around 10.30 am. After reviewing relief measures there, he will reach Patan in the afternoon. CM will hold third review meeting of the day in Bhuj, in the evening.
Steps taken to provide relief in terms of supply of drinking water, fodder as well as providing scarcity-related employment to people in rural areas would be reviewed in the meetings. Further guidelines too would be issued to local administration.
It has to be noted that Gujarat government has declared 22 districts in the state as scarcity-hit.
