Vadodara : As part of its ongoing endeavour for setting up and strengthening a pan-India organisational structure, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is organising a convention here today.

The event is part of the exercise being carried out, by anti-graft activist Arvind Kejriwal’s party, to set up district offices.

Activists who enthusiastically participated in the campaign seeking Jan Lokpal bill have been extended a special invitation to attend the convention.

An Executive Committee too will be formed, besides the district offices. Santosh Singh and Jignesh Goswami are the two observers announced for the state. Both of them would be reporting to central observer Arvind Bajpai.

To be noted, Arvind Kejriwal has already announced that his party will contest 2014 Lok Sabha poll.

National spokesperson Manish Sisodia too reaffirmed party’s plan in a recent media interaction in Ahmedabad.

As part of the endeavour, AAP representatives are in the state currently working to create a base for the party by setting up district offices.
